NOTE: initial use may cause temporary irri-
tation or redness of the skin, as the skin has
to adjust to shaving. This is normal and usual-
ly lasts between 2 to 4 weeks.
Dry shaving
• Hold the blade unit 2 parallel to the sur-
face of the skin, and gently move it over
your face using circular motions.
• Shave against the direction of your
beard growth.
• Stretch your skin in complicated areas,
such as the chin, to achieve better re-
sults.
• Switch off the device after shaving,
clean the parts carefully (Chapter
"Cleaning and care" on page 8) and to
protect the shaving heads 2, slide the
protective cap 13 onto the shaving at-
tachment 3 from below.
Wet shaving
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
For wet shaving use shaving foam or
lather only; never use shaving gel or
shaving cream. This could adhere to the
shaving heads 2.
The shaver is protected against strong
jets of water (protection type IPX6), but
must not be immersed in water.
• Before shaving, smooth a thin layer of
shaving foam on your face.
• Shave your face as described in the
chapter Dry shaving.
• If shaving foam should clog the blade
unit with the shaving heads 2, clean the
blade unit under running water (Chap-
ter "Cleaning and care" on page 8).

6.5 Contouring and beard
trimming (2-in-1 beard
and sideburn styler)

The points of the beard trimmer attach-
ment 1 are sharp. Handle with care.
NOTE: figure G: when doing this, hold
the shaver at a 45° angle to the skin.
• Use the device with the beard trimmer
attachment 1 to trim beard and con-
tours. In this way you can cut hair
lengths of 1-2 mm evenly.
7. Cleaning and care
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Always switch off the device before
cleaning it.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
If necessary, disconnect the USB charg-
er cable 16 from the device.
The blade unit 2 of the shaving attach-
ment 3 can be cleaned using water. Do
not use any other liquids.
Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
NOTE: clean the device after every use.

• Wipe down the housing of the shaver 6
with a damp cloth.
