RECORDING LEVEL ADJUSTMENT BY
PEAK LEVEL CALIBRATION SYSTEM
(CT-95, CT-S920S only)

This function records the maximum
sound volume
(peak) on
the selected sound source and displays the peak on the level
meter to correspond with the position of the recording level
control.
In this way,
you can
easily set the most
accurate
possible recording level for the source selected.
1. Press the MONITOR
button, turning the SOURCE in-
dicator on.
2. Press the METER
PLCS
button, turning the PLCS/
PEAK HOLD indicator on.
3. Press
the METER
RANGE
button,
setting
the ex-
panded range.

4. Play the loud section of the audio source for record-
ing.
© The level meter holds the peak level indications.
5. Adjust the REC LEVEL control to the peak level indi-
cations are the optimum for recording.
@ This function memorizes the recording source's maximum
sound volume (peak); so long as the peak value for both left
and right channels is within the expanded range scale, the
recording level control can be used even after the end of
the peak playbak in order to set the recording level to opti-
mum values.

If the peak level is higher than +8 dB, the +8 dB warning
lamp will flash. In this event, rotate the recording level con-
trol to the left to reduce the peak and repeat the setting
procedure. The previously flashing peak level will disappear
and a new peak will be displayed.

de niveau de crête qui sont optimum pour l'enregis-
trement.

Cette

mémorise

(crête) de la source d'enregistrement; tant que la valeur de
créte
pour
les canaux
gauche
et droit se trouve
dans
l'échelle de gamme dilatée, la commande de niveau d'enre-
gistrement peut être utilisée même après la fin de la lecture
de crête afin de régler le niveau d'enregistrement sur les va-
leurs optimum.
@ Si le niveau de crête est supérieur à +8 dB, le témoin
d'avertissement +8 dB clignote. Dans ce cas, tourner la
commande de niveau d'enregistrement vers la gauche pour
réduire la crête et répéter la procédure de réglage. Le ni-
veau de crête clignotant précédent disparaît et une nouvelle
crête est affichée.
