Symptoms
Function LED does
not light up

Reader is not
working

Possible cause
· Power supply input not
connected
· Power supply input is
connected with reverse
polarity
· Short circuit at VDC out
· Electronics are neutral or
faulty
- Delivery continuously
open
· No voltage at the Reader,
LEDs on the Reader do not
light up
· Switch position on the
Reader is wrong
· Reader wired wrongly
· Reader firmware is not
up-to-date
Remedial measures
· Check the power supply
input with a voltmeter.
· Unplug VDC out
· Fit new electronics
· Program the system data
· Check the switch at the
Reader
· Check the wiring
· Unplug the KAPI
