Cabling
To ensure safe operation, the maximum permissible cable lengths and cable
specifications must be observed ("Cable, 4-core", page 57).
In order to determine the required cable lengths and the network topology, the
possible distances and required voltage at the various access points must be
taken into account.
A function check must be carried out after every additional installation.
Ethernet cabling
The network cabling is subject to the usual EDV installation regulations. If a
®
network is used, the distance between the k-entry
KESO management software
and the KESO Integra Door Controller is limited only by the network topology and
no longer by cable lengths.
The maximum number of addressable components (online electronic units) is
limited by the IP addresses available in the local network.
The online electronic units are labelled in the k-entry
®
KESO management
software with an additional symbol (icon). The icon shows whether there is a
network connection to the electronic units.
If the network connection is interrupted, the electronic units can still function
offline. In the meantime, a maximum of 1000 events are saved locally. When the
network connection has resumed, the event data is forwarded to the KESO
K-Service, and the electronic units can be programmed online again and data can
be read out.
The KESO Integra electronic units can be programmed in offline and online mode
with the KESO programming device V3.
