Adjusting the height of the
motor unit
1. Release the clamping lever (10) to set
the height on the rear side of the motor
unit (1).
2. Set the motor unit (1) to the required
height using the crank handle (11).
3. Engage the clamping lever (10).
Otherwise the guide element could be
damaged.
Preselecting the drilling
depth
1. Loosen the locking screw (12) on the
depth stop.
2. Drill a test hole.
Lower the drill spindle with installed bit
down to the work-piece using the lifting
wheel (14).
Once you have reached the desired
depth, tighten the locking screw (12).
The depth stop is now set to the desired
drilling depth.
3. Move the drill spindle back to its star-
ting position.
Changing the bit
Remove the mains plug from the
outlet before changing the bit. This
will prevent an accidental start-up.
Risk of injury! Under no circum-
stances may you leave the drill
chuck key (21) inserted in the drill chuck
(17). It could be thrown out!
1. Swing the safety shield (5) up.
2. Loosen the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (17) using the drill chuck key
(21).
3. Remove the bit.
30
4. Insert a new bit.
5. Tighten the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (17) using the drill chuck key
(21).
6. Remove the drill chuck key (21).
7. Check that the bit is centred.
8. Swing the safety shield (5) down again.
9. Carry out a brief trial run in order to
check the drill for true running.
Positioning and clamping the
work-piece
Only work with work-pieces that can be
securely clamped. The work-piece must not
yield too much. Otherwise it is not possible
to apply adequate tension.
The work-piece must also not be too small
or too large.
Using the parallel guide
Depending on the size of the work-
piece, remove the parallel guide (7) to
allow the work-piece to lie flat on the
baseplate (15).
1. Loosen the wing screws (16).
2. Remove the parallel guide (7) from the
baseplate (15).
Position the work-piece
1. Release the lever (6) of the quick clamp
(8).
2. Slide the quick clamp (8) up on the co-
lumn tube (9).
3. Place the work-piece on the baseplate
(15).
4. Connect the tool to the power supply.
5. Switch on the laser at the On/Off
switch (13).
6. Lower the drill down to the work-piece
with the lifting wheel (14).
The intersection of the two laser
lines precisely indicates the dril-
ling centre point.
