* Only single-phase, the device does not work if powered with three-phase voltage.
3.0 - COMMISSIONING THE DEVICE
3.1 - OPERATIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
• It is necessary to close the gas upstream of the valve prior to installation;
• Before performing any operation, make sure that the device is not electrically powered;
• It is advisable to avoid touching the actuator with bare hands after a continuous power supply lasting longer than
20 minutes. In case of maintenance, wait for the actuator to cool down or, if necessary, use suitable protection;
NOTE: The replacement steps of the actuator must be carried out by taking care to ensure the product's IP66 protection rating.
3.2 - INSTALLATION
•
The installation must comply with the rules contained in standard IEC 60079-14 or with national regulations (edition
currently in force).
• Prior to carrying out any electrical wiring operations, make sure that the mains voltage matches the supply voltage indicated
on the product label.
•
Cut out power prior to proceeding with the wiring. Power to the actuator must not be restored until all the wiring
operations have not been completed; the actuator must not be opened while it is energised.
•
Do not open in the presence of an explosive atmosphere.
•
Remove the safety screw (4) using a suitable Allen wrench, then unscrew and remove the closing cap (6).
•
Unscrew the central screw (5) of the connector (8), remove it and subsequentlyconnect terminals 1 and 2 to the power
supply and the earthing cable to the terminal
•
To wire the connector, use a cable type H05SS-K 3X0.75 mm², external Ø from 6.2 to 8.1 mm, with suitable length
and protection. Use the special cable terminals (see fig. 7). Minimum cross-section of the earthing conductor equal to line
conductors. Once the wiring is done, position and secure it as originally positioned.
•
Also carry out the earthing connection on screw (3) using a special eyelet (not supplied). Insert, in the following
sequence, eyelet, toothed washer, then tighten with the screw (3). The equipotential bonding must be managed using a
cable with a section not less than 4mm
