• CHANGING THE BLADES
o To remove the serrated blade (2), turn the blade lock (3) with a coin in a clockwise
direction until you release the lock. Now take the serrated blade (2) carefully out of
the holder. Insert the specialised meat blade. Turn the blade lock (3) counterclockwise
up to the stop.
o Caution! The blades are very sharp. Be careful when you use them: Risk of injury!
• CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
o Before cleaning any part of slicer, switch it off, unplug power cord, and set thickness
control knob to position P.
o Do not clean slicer with high-pressure cleaner, jets of water, in dishwashers and sinks,
but with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
o Do not use tools like brushes or scouring pads because they are likely to damage the
slicer surface.
o Use a regular disposable towel to wipe down the slicer and remove loose food residue.
o To prevent illness caused by the spread of food-borne parthogens, it is important to
properly clean the entire slicer regularly.
o Dry all parts well before putting away for storage.
• DISPOSAL
o
For proper disposal, please return device to a retailer, a service agent or Rotel AG.

European Directive 2012/19/EC concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment (WEEE) states that household appliances should not be disposed of using the
normal solid urban waste cycle. Exhausted appliances should be collected separately
in order to optimise the cost of re-using and recycling materials comprising the ma-
chine, while preventing potential damage to public health and the environment. The
crossed-out wheeled bin symbol appears on all products to remind owners of the
obligations regarding separate waste collection. Owners should contact their local
authorities or appliance dealers for further information concerning the correct dis-
posal of household appliances.
