5. Basic features

5.1 Installing and leveling the scale
The scale is fully assembled on delivery.
Remove the packaging.

Place the scale on a firm, free and horizontal surface.

Make sure that no cables or other objects are trapped under the scale.

Level the scale by turning the foot screws. The air bubble of the level must be

exactly in the middle of the circle.
For exhibition venues in Germany, this is fulfilled if the floors meet the tolerances for the require-
ments of DIN 18202, Table 3, line 4. For other countries, the respective applicable national standards
can be used as a basis.

5.2 Power supply

>Turn the baby scale over without the infant carrier so that you look at the bottom
of the scale.
> Insert the plug into the power supply connector of the terminal.
You may be able to loosen the screws so that you can remove the terminal. This
gives you more freedom of movement. Once you have connected the charging
unit, return the terminal to its original position and tighten the screws.
>Plug the power supply unit into an electrical outlet.
Please ensure that the socket is freely accessible.

5.3 Turning on the scale

With the scale unloaded, press the ON/OFF key.
After the test routine has expired, the calibration coun
ter and version status are briefly displayed and then the
display switches to zero.
The scale is ready to weigh.
