4.2
Intended Use
The STIHL AL 1, AL 5 and AL 5-2 chargers
recharge the STIHL AS batteries. The AL 5-2
charger can recharge two batteries at once.
WARNING
■ Batteries and chargers not explicitly approved
by STIHL may cause a fire or explosion. Per‐
sons may be seriously or fatally injured, and
property may be damaged.
► Use a STIHL AL 1, AL 5 or AL 5-2 charger
to recharge STIHL AS batteries.
■ Using the charger for purposes for which it is
not designed may result in serious or fatal inju‐
ries and damage to property.
► Use the charger as described in this User
Manual.
4.3
Requirements for the user
WARNING
■ Users without adequate training or instruction
cannot recognize or assess the risks involved
in using the charger. The user or other per‐
sons may sustain serious or fatal injuries.
► Read and understand the user man‐
ual and keep it in a safe place for
reference.
► If the charger is passed on to another per‐
son: Always give them the user manual.
► Make sure that the user meets the following
conditions:
– The user is rested.
– The user must be in good physical con‐
dition and mental health to operate the
charger. If the user is able to operate
the equipment but is physically, hearing,
visually or mentally impaired, the user
