Load chain
Our recommendation is to check the chain before each shift regarding wear. Lubricate the chain at least
once a month and after every 500 lifts. Make sure to lubricate the chain when unloaded. The chain links
that run most frequently over the chain wheel inside the hoist will be worn first. Be especially observant of
these links.
■
Be specifically observant of a wear pattern according to the illustration below. If this occurs on any of
the chain links, the chain needs to be changed immediately.
■
Make sure that the load chain wear, at any part of the chain, does not exceed Load chain wear - vol-
ume, measured inside over seven well stretched links.
■
Whenever the load chain is changed, the chain wheel should also be cleaned, inspected for wear and
then lubricated.

CAUTION Moving Parts
Run the hoist at as low speed as possible when removing the load chain. A running hoist can cause
bodily injury.
Reduce the air pressure to 1 bar.
►
Keep body parts away from the chain and hoist when running the hoist to remove the chain.
►
When replacing the load chain the air hoist should be hung up by the suspension hook and con-
nected to the air line.
