WARNING Moving parts
Never perform service on a loaded hoist or a hoist that is connected to air supply. A moving load can
cause severe bodily injury.
The hoist must be unloaded and disconnected from the air line before any service or adjustment
is performed. Exception to this is permitted only when load or compressed air supply is required to
make the adjustment.
Take the hoist out of service for a checkup at the slightest sign of fault.
In case of jarring or rattling – the chain, chain wheel and chain guide should be inspected with respect to
wear and damages.
Maintenance instructions
Service recommendations
Preventive maintenance is recommended at regular intervals. See the detailed information on preventive
maintenance. If the product is not working properly, take it out of service and inspect it.
If no detailed information about preventive maintenance is included, follow these general guidelines:
Clean appropriate parts accurately
Replace any defective or worn parts
Regular maintenance
Load chain
Our recommendation is to check the chain before each shift regarding wear. Lubricate the chain at least
once a month and after every 500 lifts. Make sure to lubricate the chain when unloaded. The chain links
that run most frequently over the chain wheel inside the hoist will be worn first. Be especially observant of
these links.
Be specifically observant of a wear pattern according to the illustration below. If this occurs on any of
the chain links, the chain needs to be changed immediately.
Make sure that the load chain wear, at any part of the chain, does not exceed Load chain wear - vol-
ume, measured inside over seven well stretched links.
Whenever the load chain is changed, the chain wheel should also be cleaned, inspected for wear and
then lubricated.
Load hook and latch
The load hook must be regularly inspected.
1.
Press the latch by hand and check that it runs easily.
2.
Make sure that the latch closes properly when released.
3.
Inspect the hook for wear.
