You can retract and extend the cylinder via the two wires. By applying a voltage, for example the supply voltage
of the cylinder, to the red wire (pin 9), the cylinder retracts. The definition of the wires is as follows:

The linear drive has two potential-free, mechanical switches (NO = normal open / normally
open). On each end position one switch is closed. The contacts can be used, for example,
to control relays, signal lamps, etc. pp.

Example
In the example, two signal lamps are connected to visualize the end positions. The L1 sig-
nal lamp lights up when the linear drive is retracted. The L2 signal lamp lights up when the
linear drive is extended.
