3.3 Kill switch electrical connection
WARNING
For a proper switch connection, please refer to the generic wiring diagram below. In any case, the user
must make the connections considering the type of electrical system present on his/her boat.

The switch incorrect installation can cause serious or even fatal physical injury.

The switch is equipped with a clip with a lanyard that maintains the switch in position to ensure the
engine to be powered. The lanyard, by means of the clip, is connected to the operator safely.
If the operator moves away from the central console, the clip disconnects by releasing the piston and
stopping the engine.
For proper operation of the kill switch, perform the following operations:
1) before the engine is switched on, check that the clip is correctly positioned on the switch and can rotate freely.
2) check the condition of the lanyard: if this was cut, worn or frayed, replace it.
3) start the engine.
4) test the switch by disconnecting the fastening clip of the lanyard from the same: the engine must stop
WARNING
If the engine does not stop, check the entire wiring.
If the engine does not start, does not stop or starts again with the lanyard clip disconnected, contact your
local boat dealer for assistance.
WARNING
It is forbidden to change the length of the lanyard or use the lanyard provided by another manufacturer with this
switch; this may compromise its correct functionality.
Incorrect use, unauthorised modification or incorrect installation of this safety device may cause serious
or even fatal physical injury.
