Adjusting the cutting length
NOTE: only use original accessories!
Adjusting the cutter head
– The cutting length of the cutter head 3 is adjustable in 4 steps, from 0.5 to
2.5 mm.
– Use the cutting-length lever 2 on the underside of the appliance to set the
desired cutting length.
The attachment combs
– Figure D: switch off the trimmer and push the comb attachment 6 (4, 8, 12,
16, 20 mm) onto the cutter head 3.
– You can then cut hair with the trimmer as usual.
You can achieve the best cutting results in combination with a comb attach-
ment 6 when the cutting-length lever 2 is set to 1 (0.5 mm).

Cleaning and care
To ensure perfect functioning and full performance of your trimmer, clean and oil the
appliance regularly.
Cleaning and oiling the cutter head
If you use the appliance regularly, the cutter head 3 should be thoroughly
cleaned and oiled once a day.
– Switch off the appliance.
– Remove the comb attachment 6, if necessary.
– Remove any hair using the cleaning brush 4.
– Figure E: oil the areas where the bottom and top cutting blades touch.
Removing the cutter head
The cutter head 3 should additionally be removed at regular intervals, in order to
carefully remove residual hair particles from the interior using the cleaning brush 4.
1. Ensure that the appliance is switched off (LED in On/Off switch 1 is not lit).
2. Removing: figure F: press on the top of the cutter head 3 with your thumb to
push it off the appliance.
3. Figure G: press the upper and lower blades apart slightly and use the cleaning
brush 4 to remove the hair from the gap.
4. Mounting: figure H: place the cutter head 3 on at the bottom and swing it
upwards until it clicks into place.
Replacing the cutter head
The cutter head 3 is a wear part. Despite good care, the cutting performance will
decrease at some point. Replace the cutter head when this happens. The cutter
head can be ordered separately as a spare part from the customer service cen-
tre. The address and telephone number of your nearest customer service centre
can be found on the back of these user instructions.
Cleaning the appliance
– From time to time, wipe the appliance with a slightly moistened cloth, then rub
dry.
Cleaning the charge contacts
If the charge contacts on the appliance 11 or the charge contacts on the charging
station 9 or the charge contacts on the plug of the connecting cable 14 are dirty,
charging may be interrupted or obstructed.
– Clean the charge contacts with a piece of cotton wool or cloth dipped in alco-
hol or methylated spirit.
– Dry the charge contacts before using them again.
