Switching the answering machine on/off

Maximum recording time
The answering machine can store up to 60 messages. The maximum
recording time is 7 minutes. The maximum length of a message is 2 min-
utes. When the memory capacity for new messages is exhausted, no
further messages are recorded.
Setting the volume
The volume can be set to one of 5 different levels.

Setting the number of rings (answering delay)
You can select from 2 to 7 ringing tones or the Tollsaver setting for pre−re-
mote access free of charge. The free pre−remote access function enables
you to determine whether new messages have been left on your answer-
ing machine.

If new message have been recorded on your answering machine,
your call is taken after 2 rings.

If no new messages have been recorded, the call is taken after 4
rings. End the call before the 4th ring. This means that no charges
ensue.

Alert signal for recorded messages
An alert signal is issued at one minute intervals to indicate that a new
message or memo has been recorded.

Taking a call being recorded
It is possible to take a call even if the answering machine has already
begun to take it. Recording of the message is stopped in this case.

Recording/Controlling/Deleting outgoing messages
The answering machine is provided with two, pre−recorded outgoing
messages (OGM). After OGM 1 has been played, the caller can leave a
message. OGM 2 is purely an answer only announcement after which no
message can be left. OGM 1 can be replaced by a message of your own.
OGM 2 cannot be changed. When the answering machine memory is full,
OGM 2 is automatically played.
Recording an outgoing message
An outgoing message can be up to 40 seconds long.

Deleting your own outgoing message, reverting to the pre−recorded
message
After deleting your own outgoing message, the pre−recorded message is
automatically reactivated.
