LENs hOOD
The LEICA NOCTILUX-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH. is equipped with a built-in, telescopic
lens hood (2). It can be locked by a slight counter-clockwise rotation (looking from
behind) in its extended working position. This prevents it being accidentally pushed
back even if the lens is placed somewhere face down.
It should be used at all times as it shields effectively against contrast-reducing stray
light and offers additional protection for the front lens element against damage or
dirt such as raindrops and accidental fingerprints.
