b) Starting Programmes
After inserting the first battery e.g. into chute S1, the following display appears:
According to the voltage of the inserted battery, NiMH/Cd or NiZn mode is suggested. Therefore, e.g. for deeply
discharged rechargeable batteries, the active rechargeable battery chemistry may have to be manually changed
again in „BATT-TYPE" and confirmed.
Then the desired programme is available. Each programme has specific setting options (see description „Functions/
Programmes").
Selection and confirmation „START / AUTOSTART" leads to immediate performance of pre-settings with the pro-
gramme „RECHARGE" (reload).
If no input is made, the programme „RECHARGE" starts automatically with the automatic charging current setting
after approx. 5 seconds. Each actuation of the wheel encoder will reset this 5 second counter.
Important!
• The rechargeable battery chemistry must be chosen according to the inserted rechargeable batteries.
• A mixed equipment with NiMH/NiCd and NiZn batteries within the left (S1/S3/S5/S7) or right (S2/S4/S6/
S8) round cell charging chutes is not permitted!
• Only NiMH or NiCd batteries must be inserted into the 9 V chutes A and B, consisting of 6 or 7 individu-
al cells.
• If there is a USB connection to the PC already, „AUTOSTART" is deactivated.
The display now switches to the overview of the charging chutes.
