Switching power on and

The
unit
is switched
on by
pressing
the
POWER
button

cassette

operation. Simultaneously,
the
protective cover
for
the
heads is
retracted.
Tape
type selection
Your
Hi-Fi
cassette
deck
is
equipped
with
4
tape
selector
switches

and (16) which facilitate
use
of
types
of
tape available
today.
Consult the
table
(last
page)
for
the
tape
type
to
be used
and,
by
pressing
the appropriate
button,
select
the optimu
m
operatin
g
position
for
this
tape.
The
meters (24l.
are provided
with
two
scales.
The upper
scale
must be
used
for
FeCr
and metal
tapes and
the
lower
scale
must
be used
for
Fe
and Cr
tapes. The
setting is indicated
by
the appropriate
LED ({28}
for
Fe
and
Cr, (26)

metal).
For tape types
which you
cannot
find
on the
table
contained
in the
annex,
the following list

will
help
you to

cassettes
The unique
cassette
holder
(DLL)
permits the
cassette
to
be
inserted
directly.
Hold
the
cassette so
that
the
tape
faces
down-
wards, insert
the
cassette
top-edge
first
and
pivot
it
downwards
until
vertical when
it will
click
into
place
(Fig.2).
Cassette
removal
is
just
as
si
mple and the
cassette
may
be
re-
moved
in
any operational
mode
without
having
to
previously
press
the
STOP
button
