6. Feed the two provided hook and loop straps through the
channels of the plastic mounting bracket.
7. Place the assembly on the desired side of the chair and
tighten the hook and loop straps to secure the dial to the
chair.
8. Rotate the arm to a position that is comfortable. If preferred,
lock the arm into position by tightening the outside screw,
using the 5mm hex wrench.
9. Place the SpeedControl device in the arm "pocket". Position
the device so you can see the LED from a seated position.
10. Route the cable through the slot on the arm.
11. Use the supplied hook and loop fastener strips to secure the
cable to the seat upholstery. Route the cable on top of the
seat upholstery, underneath the cushion, and out the back of
the wheelchair.
Note: For routing examples, refer to page 109 for Rigid Frame
Wheelchairs and page 110 for Folding Frame Wheelchairs.
CAUTIONS:
- Check to make sure that the cable doesn't protrude from
the wheelchair, where it could get caught and be damaged.
- Avoid routing the cable where it touches the side guards.
The side guards on the CR1 wheelchair rotate downward
during backrest movement and could cut or stretch the
cable.
