The adjusting screw

Rebound damping
With the bike on an appropriate stand
Measure the dimension R1 between a fixed point
on the chassis and the rear axle.
With the bike setting on its wheels
Measure the dimension R2 from the same fixed
point on the chassis and the rear axle. The static
deflection is the difference between R1-R2.
Static deflection
If the static deflection is not correct, adjust the
preload of the shock (
With the rider on the motorcycle
Measure the dimension R3 between the same
fixed point on the chassis and the rear axle. The
sag is the difference between R1-R3.
Sag
If the sag is not correct, change the spring.
