Look for the same lines in high pressure sodium lamps (street
lamps fro exemple). When the lamp is switched on, spectrum shows a
yello emission line doublet. When temperature gets high, a plasma is
forming emitting a continuum. Sodium atoms then obsorb part of this
continuous emission and spectrum show two large absorption lines.

1.14.5 Put filter in front of the spectrometer

If you have color filters, put them in front of the slit and look how it
doesn impact the solar spectrum. Look for difference between narrow
band and large band filters.
