2.8 - Using Sentinel in your software environment

Sentinel astrnomical weather station can operate as a stand alone application; but you may want to
operate with other software (managing your observatory & telescope... for exemple). You can
choose among several architectures depending on your setup, how each element should work
together, and the capabilities of other software including the one you may want to programm
yourself.
First solution is to leave SkyMonitor.exe program running as a background task; your software only
has to read of the data file. This is the recommended option.
Another option is to communicate directly with Sentinel using RS232 link. You will find in annexe the
detailed protocole.

2.9 - Waranties and limit of responsibilities

Shelyak Instruments waranty your Sentinel against all manufacturing defect, one year after
purchase. This waranty does not cover any damage due to wrong use; wrong handling; use in a
highly poluted, dirty or corosive environment; intentional dammages; strike or extreme weather
conditions.
In case of problem with you Sentinel, contact your dealer or Shelyak Instruments directly before
returning the product.
Products complies with french legislation currently applicable. Responsibility of Shelyak Instruments
could not be engaged in case it doesn not comply with the local legislation where product is shipped
and/or sold to. Customer have to verify with local authorities that products can be imported and
used within the customer's country.
In case of professional purchase, Shelyak Instruments could not be held responsible for any indirect
damage linked to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of any business activity which could be tied to
our product purchase.
