months to extend its service life.

using distilled water in the appliance or at
least to decalcify it more often.
NOTE:
If you use only distilled water, the appliance
does not have to be decalcified.
1. Fill the water tank with water and add
approx. 1 tablet of biological decalcifier
(available in the shops). Observe the
instructions
of
manufacturer.
2. Direct the steam base into a container
which can collect the steam.
3. Connect the appliance to the mains.
4. Allow the decalcifying solution to run
through
the
approx. 5 minutes.
5. Then wait another 5 minutes with the
appliance still plugged in.

4.3 Cleaning the microfibre cloths
WARNING:
Danger of burning! The appliance continues
running Even after you have pulled the
mains plug from the socket, hot steam will
be available for approx. another 5 minutes.
ATTENTION:
Never leave the appliance standing on a
used microfibre cleaning cloth. Wash the
cleaning cloths after each cleaning session.
Otherwise germs and mould can form by
the next time you use it. The surface on
which the moist cleaning-cloth is deposited
might be damaged.
ATTENTION:
Wash
the
microfibre
separately. The Velcro strips might damage
pieces of clothing.
Wash the cleaning cloths by hand
or at max. 60 °C with a mild liquid
detergent, and do not use softeners.
You must never bleach the micro-
fibre cleaning cloths, or iron them or
dry them in a dryer. This would
reduce their absorbency or damage
them.
It is best to leave the cleaning-
cloths to dry for 24 hours at room
temperature.
