Fault detection and identification.
Depending on the symptoms you observe you can detect the probable cause and solve the
problem: If the machine does not work properly here you have a series of symptoms, their
probable causes and the solution.
Symptom
The machine is not working
properly
The rotor does not suck the
wood
The crushed material does
not have the same thickness
The engine does not start or
stops on its own
The machine gets stuck
during use
The engine does not start
due to a rotor jam
Probable cause
The blades are too worn
The diameter of the branches
introduced into the machine
is too large
The gap between the blade
fixes the counter blade is not
correct
Electrical problem in the
engine
No fuel left
You don't have or aren't
enough oil in your engine
The diameter of the branch is
too large
There are materials in the
inlet hopper tube such as
stones or metal
146
Corrective action
Invert, sharpen or change
blades
Remove branches with a
diameter greater than
allowed
Adjust the gap between the
fixed blade and the counter
blade (the gap should
measure 1 mm)
make sure the switch is in
the ON position make sure
the SC System is in the ON
position off
Add fuel
Add oil (see section 8.1.2)
Turn off the rotor and remove
the pipe from the spark plug.
Remove the motor shaft
cover. Turn the rotor a few
degrees with a specially
designed wrench. Leave the
rotor locked by wrench,
remove the material from the
inlet pipe with the help of a
stick or tool and turn the
machine back on. If
necessary, change the
blades
