I. Installing the Original Cover Kit

1. Remove the upper rear cover and hinge covers
(three screws).
Note:
While pushing the angle detecting lever of the
reverse automatic document feeder, remove the
cover
.

2. Install the hinge covers (right and left) included in
the kit (five screws).
3. Reinstall the upper rear cover (three screws).
Note:
When reinstalling the upper rear cover, pass the
angle detecting lever into the hole in the cover.

4. Install the Original Cover.
5. Peel the double-sided adhesive tape off the docu-
ment scanning glass cover. Then, affix the docu-
ment scanning glass cover to the position shown
in the illustration.
