Proceed as follows to measure DC voltages:
Turn the multimeter on and select
"V
" mode. "

voltages up to max. 600 mV, select
the "mV" measurement function.
Plug the red test lead into the V
measurement socket and the black
test lead into the COM measure-
ment socket.
Connect the two test probes in
parallel to the object that you want
to measure (e.g. battery or circuit).
Connect the red test probe to the
positive terminal and the black test
probe to the negative terminal.
The measured value and polarity
are indicated on display.
If "-" appears in front of a direct voltage measurement, this indicates that the
measured voltage is negative (or that the test leads have been connected in
reverse).
The "V DC" voltage range has an input resistance of ≥10 MOhm; the "mV DC"
range has an input resistance of ≥10 MOhm.
After taking a measurement, remove the test leads from the measured object
and turn the multimeter off.
