connecting the DTC 1000 via USB cable directly to
your PC.

Connecting With a USB Cable

Make sure that the camera is turned off before con-
necting it to a computer. Using the USB cable, con-
nect the camera via the USB port (14) to your PC
and then turn the camera on. The camera will be
recognized as an external drive – you can view your
files directly or copy them to a folder on your PC.

Transferring Photos and Videos Via SD Card

Make sure that the camera is turned off before re-
moving the SD card from its slot (9) as this can dam-
age your SD card. Insert the card into a card reader
and then connect the card reader to your PC or if
available, insert the card directly into the SD card slot
if your mobile device. You can view your files directly
or copy them to a folder on your PC.
Note: Format your SD card after copying the files to
your PC and before every use – we suggest not to
format the card with the DTC 1000 (see also "For-
mat" under "Camera Setting"). This procedure de-
letes older data from the SD card and prepares your
card for an error-free operation in your camera. It is
76
recommended to record some images directly after
inserting the SD card to verify the camera's function-
ality. Please make sure that the camera is turned off
before inserting or removing the SD card.
