l) Modification of the Remote Control Transmitter
If you wish to interchange the control stick functions: "Motor rotation speed" and "Elevator", it is possible to modify the return spring and/or the stop spring of the
control stick units correspondingly. Following that it is only necessary to swap the connection plugs for both control stick potentiometers on the circuit board.
This activity does however require a certain amount of prior knowledge in working with remote control transmitters. If you do not have this knowledge, you can
send the transmitter to our Hirschau customer service department for modification.
m) Refinishing the Decal Set
As the adhesive strength of the decal set may deteriorate over time, you
can permanently "weld" the decal stickers to the model.
Simply take a commercially available clothes iron or steam iron with the
water tank removed and wrap the iron in a tea towel which you no longer
require. It is important to avoid any folds in the material on the ironing
surface.
Start at the lowest temperature setting and gently press the decal stickers
onto the model with the front part of the heated iron surface. The tea
towel ensures that the decal stickers stick to the model and not the iron.
If the heat is not sufficient to permanently stick the decals to the model,
raise the temperature one setting and repeat the procedure until you
reach the optimal setting.
Warning!
Do not iron the decal stickers on too high a heat, as otherwise the sticker and the model may be damaged. Do not use a hot air gun for this work
under any circumstances. The amount of heat given off is far too much for the model.
Heat damage to the model is not covered in the guarantee conditions.
n) Checking the Center of Gravity
The center of gravity of the model is predetermined by its construction
and lies some 90 mm behind the nose rail of the upper wings. If the
model is picked up from both sides at this point on the fuselage, it should
balance.
Adding lead weight to the front or back of the fuselage can allow you to
adjust the position of the center of gravity. A change in the position of the
center of gravity should only be carried out by experienced model pilots,
in order to accurately adjust the flight performance of the model to their
expectations and control/steering habits.
