Installation
Follow the safety instructions, see "Safety", page 36. For an

4.1
Installing the control unit
WARNING
Disconnect system from energy sources! Make sure
that cables and electrical components are discon-
nected from the power supply during work.
The control unit can only be opened if the main switch is
in the OFF position.
Undo screws in the housing cover and lift up housing
cover.
Mount housing in place provided; to do so, use all four fix-
ing options in the corners of the housing.
Take the ambient conditions into account.
4.2
Ensure ATEX requirement
The following additional requirements must be taken into
account for the electrical installation so that the pumps may
be operated in a potentially explosive atmosphere.

Cable cross-section
The mains cables to the control unit require a minimum
cross-section of 6 mm
ing, whichever cross-section is larger (see "Technical data",
page 39).
ATEX pump connection with equipotential bonding
An earthing cable of at least 4mm
submersible pump for the equipotential bonding according
to EN 60079-14. The earthing cable is routed between the
(self-locking) earthing screw and the screw retainer on the
terminal.

Before connecting the pump, check whether the motor
protection switch of the control unit is suitable for the
power consumption of the pump(s) (see type plate).
This system's ATEX pumps can have a 6 or 9-wire cable.
Double assignment of the phases in the control unit is
provided for 9-wire cables.
