• Never position any containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vas-
es or plants, in the direct vicinity of the code lock. Liquids could seep
into the casing and in doing so impair the electrical safety of the device.
There is also a significant risk of fire or a fatal electric shock.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It can be dangerous to
children who play with it.
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure concerning the
safety or the correct use of the product.
• Be particularly cautious when using the product in the presence of chil-
dren. Electrical devices must be kept out of the reach of children.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
disconnect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent
operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- The device shows signs of visible damage,
- The device no longer functions and
- it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions or
after heavy transport strain.
• The device is to be operated solely with 12 V/DC voltages.
• Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables
between the various devices and any extension cables comply with reg-
ulations and also comply with the operating instructions.
• Consult a qualified person if you are unsure as to operation, safety or
connection of the device.
• When mounting the device, make sure that the connection cables are
neither jammed nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, discon-
nect the appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.
• The regulations of the Accident Prevention & Insurance Association
for electric facilities and equipment must be observed in commercial
premises.
