7. Mounting
a) General information
The outdoor unit should be mounted in a sheltered area near the front door (for example, under a canopy) so that the
visitor stands directly in front of it when pressing the bell button. The camera should be mounted at a height of about
150 cm, depending on the ambient conditions at the place of installation.
The indoor unit is suited for installation only in dry conditions indoors, e.g. in the hallway. Here, the installation height
should be about 140 cm.
A two-core cable (not included) must be laid between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit.
The larger the distance between the outdoor and indoor units, the larger the cable cross section should be.
Otherwise the outdoor unit may be unable to function.
Cable length up to 50 m: cross section 0.75 mm²
Cable length up to 100 m: cross section 1 mm²
You should test the video door intercom system at the future place of installation before you drill the holes
for fixed installation and lay the cable. For this test, the same cable should be used in the appropriate
length, which you will use later to connect the outdoor and indoor units.
Mount the outdoor and indoor units only on a stable surface, but not on metal surfaces or close to other
electrical/electronic devices.
Take care that cables or lines are not damaged while drilling and/or bolting down! The same goes for laying
the connection cables and any necessary masonry.
Do not lay the connection cable between the outdoor and indoor units directly next to other power cables
or lines; do not lay it on or close to metal surfaces. This may have a negative effect on the transmission.
