d) Mounting the outdoor unit
• It may be necessary to drill holes at the intended installation position depending on the substrate.
Ensure that you do not damage cables or wires when drilling holes or tightening screws.
Ensure adequate sealing at the point where the cable comes out of the wall so that water running down the
wall (e.g. when it rains) cannot run along the cable into the wall. Use some silicone for sealing.
• Remove the screw on the bottom of the outdoor unit with a hexagon key and remove the front panel.
• You can later use the knob (see chapter 6. b), no. 24) to adjust the playback volume via the speaker (turn counter-
clockwise to the left to turn the volume up, and clockwise to turn it down). When using for the first time, you should
not adjust the knob.
• Wire the connections on the back to the indoor unit and the door opener; see connection diagram in chapter 7. b).
Always pay attention to the correct polarity when connecting the power adapter, as well as when connect-
ing the outdoor unit to the indoor unit. Otherwise, both the indoor unit and the outdoor unit will be damaged,
resulting in the loss of warranty!
For conventional door openers, the polarity is usually irrelevant.
