At first tighten the bolts by hand; only when the installation is
completed tighten them using a wrench.
- Start the installation by shaping the lower strips (A) and place
them on the ridge of the roof tile (see figure).
- Then secure them to the supporting surface using adequate
screws (not supplied as standard); the two strips should be
placed on the same level and at a distance between 1200 and
1800 mm.
- Then, by means of screw (C) secure the collector to the strip
using square nut (G) inserted into the profile groove. Repeat
these operations (fitting to manifold) for the second lower strip
- Then secure side strips (B) to angular bases (F) by means of
screw (D), nut (E) and washer (H).
- Secure the side strip to the manifold by means of screw (C)
using square nut (G) inserted in the profile groove.
- Repeat the fitting operations for the second side strip.
- Then secure the side strips to the supporting surface using
adequate screws (not supplied as standard).
- Tighten all the screws.

Remove the protective film from the glass only after
filling the system.
Caution! Do not use the manifold connections or
threads as anchor points for lifting.
9. Connection to the domestic hot water system
CAUTION! Overpressure hazard.
Check that the maximum supply pressure of
the cold-water supply line does not exceed the
maximum operating pressure of the tank (4bar) and if
necessary, insert a pressure reducer
If copper pipes are used for the connection to the
domestic circuit, these must be connected to the
storage with the interposition of a dielectric joint so to
prevent the circulation of galvanic currents.
CAUTION!
In Italy, according to Ministerial Circular No. 829571
of 23/03/03, the installation of boilers in the domes-
tic water system must be made by means of a hydraulic
safety unit. The criteria for its design, manufacturing and
operation are defined by the EUROPEAN STANDARD UNI
EN 1487:2002 or the equivalent standards in force. This
safety unit must include at least one shut-off valve, a check
valve, a control device for the check valve, a safety valve
(see next paragraph for its characteristics), a hydraulic load
shut-off device. All these accessories are needed for safe
boiler operation.
Once the system has been secured to the supporting surface
proceed to the hydraulic connection. To fill up the system use
maximum flow rate of 8 liter/min to allow the air inside storage
tank to flow out completely.
9.1 Installation diagram
Connection description
(1) Cold sanitary water supply. If the pressure exceeds 4 bar,
insert a pressure reducer. The water must be treated in
accordance with the Uni 8065 standard and the adduction
system must be built in accordance with the Uni 806
standard
(2) Safety and non-return valve calibrated at 6 bar (supplied as
standard.
(3) Drain valve for panel emptying (to be provided by the
installer)
(4) 1/2 "F vacuum breaker valve (supplied as standard)
(5) T fitting (not supplied as standard)
(6) 1 "1/4 F connection for electrical integration resistance
(accessory to be purchased separately)
