Fixing system for pitched roof in stainless steel
Fixing system for flat roof in galvanized steel
7. Installation on the ground or on flat surfaces
Wind hazard
Solar manifolds have a large area exposed to the
wind, therefore do not install in case of strong winds.
Danger of falling
The installation of solar energy systems very often
requires working on roofs or surfaces with conse-
quent danger of falling. In these conditions safety
regulations in force must be complied with. In
particular, adequate fall prevention and protection
systems should be provided.
If fall protection systems are not available, use sui-
table individual harness.
Danger from suspended loads
When lifting materials by means of cranes or simi-
lar equipment comply with all relevant recommen-
dations and regulations. In particular, use suitable
lifting equipment and delimit the operation areas to
eliminate risks of injury from falling of suspended
loads.

7.1 Installation location and position
For flat roofs, where possible, place the system at a distance
of 1-2 metres from the edge so as to limit the action of strong
winds.
Preferably position the manifold/s towards the South bearing
in mind that South-east or South-west orientations can anyway
ensure satisfactory operation of the system. Secure the system
to the surface using special plastic push-in inserts. Where it is
not possible to drill the supporting surface, use special concrete
ballast blocks of the total weight of 150 kg (2x75 kg) to be posi-
tioned under the supports.
If installed in locations with heavy snow, it is rec-
ommended to take appropriate measures to
ensure that snow does not accumulate behind the
system and to use suitable additional supports to safely
secure the structures.
In any case the supporting and mounting structure kit is not
suitable for installation in areas where the limits below are
expected to be exceeded:
- Wind speed maximum limit: 110 km/h
- Snow load maximum limit: 1kN/m2
For installations where the above limits are expected to be
exceeded, the installer is required under his/her responsibility
to use appropriate additional supporting and mounting systems.
The manufacturer assumes no liability and undertakes no
warranty obligations for supporting and mounting systems other
than those supplied

Protective helmet must be worn
Protective footwear must be worn
Protective gloves must be worn
After selecting the installation site, before proceeding with instal-
lation, make sure the flat roof structure can bear the load gener-
ated by the solar energy system and the water contained.
Remove the supporting structure from the package and identify
the different components:
