5. ADJUSTMENT AND MAINTE-
NANCE OF VARIOUS SECTIONS
5-1 Cleaning of the spark plug
Since the spark plug is apt to get dirt with
carbon or others, clean it by sometime taking
it
Qut.
Adjust the electrode clearance of the spark
plug to be 0.6 - 0.7 mm. (Fig. 7)
5-2 Cleaning of the air cleaner
Taking out the elements
by
air cleaner and tapping both elements lightly
with hands, wash them with gasoline (be
careful not to scour them strongly). After
they were washed, both elements should be
dried off well and soaked in the mixed oil
(2 - 4 gasoline: 1 engine oil). (Fig. 8)
Cleaning of the recoil starter
In case of unsmoothed operation of the recoil
starter due to mud or dirt clogged, take it out
of the spiral case by releasing three fitting
bolts. (Fig. 9)
Removing mud or dirt clogged around the
rope reel and the like, lubricate every rotating
and sliding portions (especially around the
shaft) and confirm the smoothness of its
operation.
5-4 Rightward or leftward turning of the
handle
Loosen the set bolt located at the front of
handle frame. 3-stage angle adjustment toward
either side, right or left, can be available with
the lock lever installed in the center of the
handle. Choose the best position mostly suit-
able to the scheduled work. (Fig. 10)
5·5 180 degree turning of the handle

degree turning of the handle can be
available by holding the lock lever located in
the center of the handle and by moving the
handle leftward. (Fig. 10)
(Note) Retighten the setting bolt as it was,
after any' turning of the handle has Setting knob
been completed. Note that the handle Bouton de blocage
can not be turned rightward.
5-6 Turning of the change lever
When the change lever is lifted up and turned
leftward, an attempting position can be at-
tained. (Fig. 11)

Longitudinal adjustment of the handle
Longitudjnal adjustment of the handle can be
available to fit to the personal height or the
working condition, by or in which the tiller is
operated. The adjusting method is to loosen
the setting knob, and then position the handle
at the best suitable height before retightening
the knob. (Fig. 10)

Adjustment of the tension clutch and
its related sections
(1) The clearance between the power output
shaft and the main shaft is recommended
to get the state that the tension of V-belt,
put on either high speed or low, under
the condition of the clutch being in the
"engage" position, allows about
play when pushing its center lightly with
a finger. (Fig. 12)
(2) The following adjustments are required in
order to give correct tension to the V-belt:
•
Adjustment of wire length with the main
clutch wire adjuster.
• When the V-belt is extended too much,
move the engine forward after releasing
fitting bolts.

Nettoyage des bougies
Comme la bougie peut f;:lcilement se detElriorer
par Ie depot de calamine, il faut de temps en
temps enlever la bougie et la nettoyer. Ajuster

car en age en detaisant les trois boulonsde
fixation. (Fig. 9)
Enlever la boue et la salete accrochees au\. r
de la roue de la corde; bien lubrifier les
pieces rctatives et frottantes (specialement
autour de I'axe) et s'assurer de la bonne
motilite de I'operation.

vitesse
En levant Ie levier de changement de v·itesse et
en Ie tournant vers la gauche, il est possible de
choisir sa position. (Fig. 11)

Ajustement longitudinal du guidon
Le guidon du motoculteur peut etre ajuste
pour correspondre de fac;;on longitudinale ala
taille de. la personne qui utilise l'appareil ou
au travail
effectuer. Pour ajuster
