Important: The additional increase in the cuff
pressure can cause faulty readings. If this
occurs, repeat the measurement after a 2 minute
interval and this time inflate straight to above
your upper (systolic) blood pressure value.
After inflation the air is automatically released.
The decreasing cuff pressure is registered on
the left side of the display.
As soon as the first pulsations are registered, the
symbol
blinks in rhythm with the pulse.
Keep perfectly still and do not speak while
taking your blood pressure.
As soon as the registered pulse is ready to be
evaluated by the microprocessor the unit emits
a bleep, again in pulse rhythm. At this point it is
crucial that the arm with the cuff is not being
moved.
The completion of the measurement is indicated
by an extended bleep while the two measure-
ment values in the display remain static.
Symbol
lights up to indicate that the quick air
release can now be initiated.
To do this, press the valve button until all the air
has been expelled from the cuff.
If symbol
appears following a completed
measurement, it is recommended that the mea-
surement is repeated while holding the arm
motionless.
A renewed display of symbol
the repeat measurement with the arm being held
motionless, can be an indication of irregular
heart beat. Discuss this matter with your GP on
your next visit.
