Open cuff into a ring shape and pull onto your
upper arm until the lower cuff edge lies 2-3 cm
(1 inch) above the elbow. The cuff is positioned
correctly if the special marking is located direc-
tly on the artery. The metal ring must never
come to lie on the artery as this may cause a
false reading.
Most persons have a higher blood pressure on
their left arm. Therefore the measurement
should be taken on the left arm. If the blood
pressure is higher on the right arm, the measu-
rement should be taken on the right arm.
Lightly pull the cuff end which feeds through the
metal ring and wrap it over the outside of the
upper arm. The velcro fastening is then secured
with a light pressure.
Do not draw the cuff too tight. Allow a space of
ca 2-finger width between arm and cuff.

The "O" in the display and three bleeps indicate
that your BP is now ready for use.
Place the arm with the cuff on the table, holding
it relaxed and at a slight angle.
Now take the rubber ball into your right hand and
inflate the cuff to approx. 180 mmHg. A triple sig-
nal tone occurs. The rising cuff pressure is
shown on the digital display. In case the pres-
sure in the cuff is not high enough, the symbol
appears during the measurement. Please
inflate the cuff by approx. 40 mmHg more. This
procedure may be repeated unil the pressure in
the cuff is higher than the systolic blood pressure
(symbol disappears and the triple signal tone
occurs).
At the following measurement the necessary in-
flation pressure is adjusted by the memomatic
function, i.e. inflation pressure = SYSTOLIC of
last measurement taken +40 mmHg). Please in-
flate until the triple signal tone indicated the
correct pressure.
