Safety switch with separate actuator
Refer to EN ISO 14119, section 7, to reduce the possibility of a
•
interlocking device being bypassed.
•
Protect the switch head from damage, as well as from pene-
trating foreign objects such as chips, sand, abrasives, etc.
The overall control concept, into which the position switch
•
has been integrated, must be validated in accordance with
DIN EN ISO 13849-2 or evaluated according to DIN EN 62061.
4.1
Changing the actuating device
See figure II.
1. Loosen the screws (TX10) on the actuator head.
2. Set the desired direction.
3. Tighten screws to 1.6 Nm.
4. Close unused actuating slot with the enclosed sealing cap.
Danger due to high housing temperature at ambient air temper-
atures above 40 °C. Protect the switch against contact by per-
sons or flammable material.
4.2
Mounting the switch - the actuator
1. Fasten the safety switch in a form-fit manner (dimensions see
chapter 10 "Dimensions", page 16).
2. Screw-on surface must be flat (flat).
3. Insert the actuator, in the correct position, into the head of the
SIN until the actuator moulding rests against the head's hous-
ing.
4. Connect the actuator to the guard in a tamper-proof manner.
5. When the actuator retracts into one of the mounting openings
of the SIN head, the active axes must be aligned according to
the tolerances in chapter 10 "Dimensions" on p. 16.
6. No lateral forces shall occur between the actuator and the SIN
head.
7. There is a 2 mm overtravel between the SIN head and the actua-
tor; the stop of the guard must be set in this overtravel.
8. Range 0.2 - 2 mm. (see illustrations)
