13. Positioning and measurement
• The printed sheet should always be placed on a stable measuring base
• Position the DensiEye on the measuring field using the measuring diaphragm
• By lowering the measuring head, the measuring diaphragm is pulled back and a measurement is initiated
• The measuring head can be lifted off again once the measuring results have been displayed, or a message
14. Calibration
• The prerequisite for precise measuring results is the calibration of the device using the relevant calibration card
• The density standard and the filter on the calibration card must match the device data
• Paper white base or absolute white base must be selected before calibration using the Function Settings menu bar in the main menu
• Select the Calibration function in the main menu
• Depending on the white base, "Calibration Paper" or "Calibration Absolute" will be displayed in the header row
• The relevant reference values for paper white or absolute white standard on the calibration card should be used, depending on the white base
selected
• Calibrate the device according to the instructions given in the help bar
• X-Rite recommends checking the calibration using density measurements
• X-Rite recommends using a calibration card only if multiple devices need to be calibrated
