2.6. Data Interface Option D
By means of the cable supplied the concentrator
can be conntected to a computer with SB-interfa-
ce. This makes the concentrator's service easier.
Apart form that the interface serves as a connec-
tion to a low consumption oxygen monitor.
2.7. Ionization Option I
To use the ionization option I unscrew the hose
nozzle and connect the ionization supplement in
its place. Connect the plug to the relevant bush.
Put the oxygen mask on the ionziation head.
We recommend to apply an anti-static spray to
the mask every time before it is used. Additional-
ly an anti-bacteria filter can be inserted.
Do not use a humidifyer during ionization.
The ionization can be activated by pressing I/O
on the remote control supplied. The treatment in-
tervals are set with the buttons marked
in 5 minutes steps between 5 and 95 minutes.
The treatment begins by pressing Start. The re-
maining treatment time is indicated in the dis-
play. The treatment can be interrupted by pres-
sing Pause and continued by pressing Start.
An acoutsic signal indicates the end of the tre-
atment and End of Treatment appears in the dis-
play.

The detachable ionization head should be clea-
ned once a week or when used by a different pati-
ent (see also 5. Cleaning).
3. Diagnosis
An extensive autodiagnosis system has been im-
plemented into the oxygen concentrator (RC 5).
By pressing the button next to the oxygen out-
let on the right the diagnosis is called up.
The displays can be called up by pressing the
button.
