Operation
Before beginning to work, check that a dust bag has been inserted.
en
If operated without a dust bag, the intended protection against exposure to dust can no longer be
guaranteed.
Switching the Unit On
The extractor is put into operation at the on / off switch (3).
Stand-By
In the stand-by mode the display is dark.
Leave stand-by mode:
• Press any button
• Switch on any electrical appliance connected to the extractor.
Select vacuum channel
Start / stop suction turbine and open / close corresponding
pinch valve valve:
• Automatically:
The electrical appliance connected to the coupler socket

• Manually:
By pressing a suction hose button (39).
Adjust suction power
Set the extraction force:
•
Button (43), increases extraction force.
•
Button (41), reduces extraction force.
Programming
For the extractor programming instructions, please see enclosed
Quick Reference Card and full set of operating instructions on the
internet.
Operation with the SILENT flow sensor
If the extraction unit is operated in combination with a flow rate monitoring unit such as the SILENT flow
sensor, the following must be observed:
► If the flow rate is less than the defined threshold value for a certain period, this is detected by the
SILENT flow sensor, the corresponding indicator begins to flash, and a warning tone is output
every 30 seconds.
If the flow rate is too low at the suction point being monitored, safe operation is no longer guaran-
teed and the level of exposure to dust can be harmful to health!
In this case, the following measures must be taken:
⇒ Stop working at all suction points of the affected extraction unit. This applies to the individual suction
channels of any multi-workbench extraction unit as well as to all suction points operated via a Y-junction
or via extractor switches.
⇒ Determine why the flow rate is too low and resolve the issue.
