Notes for installer
Electrical connection
Observe the included wiring diagram and
installation plan. These documents are
important for the connection of the ma‐
chine. Installations should be carried out
by authorized installers only and in ac‐
cordance with applicable regulations, leg‐
islation, accident prevention regulations,
and standards. In case of unfavorable
mains conditions, the machine may lead
to interfering voltage fluctuations. If the
mains impedance is greater than 0.175
Ohm at the connection point to the public
mains, additional measures may be re‐
quired before the machine can be proper‐
ly operated at this connection. The mains
impedance can be requested from the lo‐
cal power supply company.
– The electrical equipment of the machine
corresponds with standards IEC/EN
60204-1, IEC/EN 60335-1, IEC/EN
60335-2-44, EN ISO 10472-1, EN ISO
10472-5 and has a CSA approval.
– The electrical connection and wiring dia‐
gram are located behind the mounting
flap of the right side column.
– The values for the electrical connection
and fuse rating can be found on the data
plate (see "Technical data" in this docu‐
ment).
– For hard-wired machines, an all-pole
means of deactivation must be provided
on site. Switches with a minimum contact
gap greater than 3mm (1/8") are suitable
disconnectors. These include circuit
breakers, fuses, and contactors.
– The plug connection or the separator
must be accessible at all times.
– If the machine is disconnected from the
electricity supply ensure adequate meas‐
ures are taken to ensure that the machine
cannot be reconnected to the electricity
supply until all work has been carried out.
6
– If it is necessary to install a residual cur‐
rent device (RCD) in accordance with the
local regulations, a residual current device
type A (AC/DC-sensitive) can be used.
The machine is equipped with a built-in
multi-tap transformer to connect the unit
to 240V, 220V or 208V.
Check the on-site voltage before con‐
necting the machine to the electrical sup‐
ply and set the machine to the matching
voltage. For further information consult
the wiring diagram or contact Miele
Service.
