• Perform a fit check according to 3.4.
• Rotate back the belt so that the SR 905 is
placed at the back of your waist. With hose SR
951, see fig. 20. With hose SR 952, see fig. 21.
3.4 Fit check
• Place the palm of your hand lightly over
the hole on the pre-filter holder to make it
tight.
• Take a deep breath and hold your breath for
5 s. If the mask is tight, it will be pressed
against your face. Fig. 22.
If any leakage is detected:
• check that the membranes is undamaged,
• check that the connection with o-ring(s) and
attachment with gasket is undamaged and
fits properly,
• check that the hose not is twisted.
3.5 Taking the equipment off
Do not take off the equipment until clear of the
hazardous area.
• Rotate the belt around your waist so that you
reach the hose connection on the SR 905.
• Release the breathing hose from the SR
905. Fig. 23.
• Take the half mask together with the breathing
hose off. See SR 900 User instruction.
• Take the belt with the SR 905 off.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
• Remove the filter holder and the filter.
• Clean the SR 905 and all parts with
Sundström cleaning tissues SR 5226.
If the SR 905 is heavily soiled, use a warm
(up to +40 °C), mild soap solution and a soft
brush, followed by rinsing with clean water
and drying in air at room temperature.
• Inspect all parts and replace with new parts as
necessary. Critical areas are the membranes
and the connections/attachments which
must have clean and undamaged contact
surfaces.
• Leave the equipment to dry, and then
assemble it.
NOTE! Never use solvents for cleaning.
4.2 Storage
The best way to store the SR 905 together with
the SR 900 and SR 951/952 is in Sundström
storage box SR 230. Keep it away from direct
sunlight or other sources of heat.
4.3 Maintenance schedule
