INDICATIONS
For shoulder conditions that may
benef it from sc apulohumer al
immobilization, elbow along the body,
such as:
• Pre or post-operative.
• Soft tissue repairs/strains.
• Shoulder instabilities/injuries.
PERFORMANCE
The devices shall provide scapulohu-
meral immobilization.
CONTRAINDICATION
None known.
WARNINGS / PRECAUTIONS OF USE
Do not wear for extended periods
without medical follow-up.
The orthosis must not be used in direct
contact with a damaged skin.
The orthosis is a single patient use
device. Do not use for multiple
patients.
If any problems occur with the use of
the orthosis, e.g. pain or appearance
of local signs, remove the orthosis and
contact your healthcare professional.
The user and/or patient must
report any serious incident that has
occurred in relation to the device to
the manufacturer and the competent
authority of the Member State in which
the user and/or patient is established.
SET UP AND OPERATION
The first application should be
carried out by a qualified healthcare
professional to understand the correct
fitting and how to put the device on
properly. Subsequently, the product
should be put on the patient in the
same way by the user or a family
member or a friend.
1 - Insert the forearm into the sleeve
with the Gibaud mark visible to the
person putting it on the patient. Pass
the straps over the shoulders and cross
them over on the back. (figure 1)
2 - Pass the straps under the sleeve and
attach them using the special bands.
Make sure that the forearm is in a
perfectly horizontal position. (figure 2)
3 - Attach the chest band to one of
the straps leaving the hand and elbow
free. Go all the way around the body
to attach the band to itself. (figure 3)
4 - Tighten the band so that the sup-
port provided is firm but comfortable.

CARE INSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE
AND DISPOSAL
Hand wash in warm and soapy water
(maximum of 40°C); rinse thoroughly;
wring out gently; do not bleach; dry
flat, do not tumble dry; do not iron;
do not dry clean.
The device and packaging must
be disposed of in accordance
with respective local or national
environmental regulations.
SIZE
This Standard sling and swathe come
in a single size which can be used on
both the left and the right arm up to a
circumference (chest measured
under the chest + arm) of 130 cm.
