Servicing and technical maintenance
While the VADOplex system remains the property of its manufacturer, all servicing and maintenance
work, as well as safety and functional checks (SFCs) must be carried out by the manufacturer.
However the operator is expressly responsible for complying with the maintenance intervals
(if necessary consult the operator regulations).
Servicing and maintenance work, as well as safety and functional checks (SFCs), must only be
carried out by trained specialists.
The service intervals specified by OPED must be complied with:
The VADOplex system must be maintained every 3,000 hours of operation or at least once per year.
Only OPED spare parts must be used.
Upon request, the manufacturer will gladly provide circuit diagrams, spare parts lists and other
documents for qualified personnel.
Once under the ownership of the customer, servicing and maintenance work, as well as safety and
functional checks (SFCs), can be carried out by the manufacturer upon request for a charge.

Cleaning and care

Users/patients:
You will receive the device in a hygienically perfect condition.
If you want to wipe off the device and the connecting tubes, use a lint-free, soft cloth.
All conventional mild detergents can be used as cleaning agents.
To do this, wring the cloth out well so that no liquid can run into the device.
Operator:
Before each use on another patient, the device must be cleaned, disinfected and subjected to a
functional check as prescribed by law.
It should be noted that these agents must not attack and damage the surface.
Disinfectants to be used must be designated for surfaces.
They must be designed for your pathogen spectrum and VAH-listed (VAH only applies in Germany.
In all other countries please follow the legal regulations of your country regarding disinfection).
Observe the concentrations and exposure times of the manufacturers (see hygiene plan).
You can obtain detailed instructions on how to prepare the device from the manufacturer.
The device and its accessories are not suitable for sterilisation.

Thoroughly clean external surfaces of the
controller before transfer between patients
and after prolonged periods of storage.
Attention should be paid to the fan grills,
ensure these are clean at all times.
Inspect the power wire for damage.
If this display appears, please send back
the VADOplex System to the manufacturer
for service.
