9. Checking the configuration
a) General Information
Please carry out the configuration of the quadrotor helicopter as described in this chapter. Familiarisation with the
channels is essential as otherwise the quadrotor helicopter will not recognise your transmitting equipment. When you
have carried this out, your quadrotor helicopter is then ready to fly.
When using the optional accessories set, the quadrotor helicopter is already configured for this transmitter (4 channel)
and familiarisation with the channels is not necessary!
Should you use your own computer remote control, this should be familiarised without using a mixer in the standard
program.
To correctly align the pilot stick for the desired control commands, it is necessary to familiarise the quadrotor helicopter
with the used transmitter. In the process, the quadrotor's electronics system memorises which channel which control
command broadcasts. As a basic principle, you can freely choose the configuration of the control handle (according to
your habits), however, it is recommended that beginners follow the recommended examples.
Ex factory, the quadrotor helicopter is configured to "mode 2". The examples are based on the factory settings for the
optional accessories set with the transmitting equipment and an established configuration from the experience of
many model pilots.
Decide which configuration you wish to program and carry out the familiarisation of the channels correspondingly.
Further possibilities for control mode 1, 3 or 4 (modes 1, 3 or 4) can be found in the instructions in this chapter under
the heading "possible control modes".
For monitoring the configuration, indicating malfunction or operating status, a red and a green LED are installed on the
control board. The respective indications can be seen in the table in the following chapter "safety devices" in this
instruction manual.
When using multiplex remote controls, the servo protocols must be adapted for all four functions (gas, roll,
pitch and yaw) from "MPX" to "UNI".
