REMEDY OF FAULTS
Malfunction
The water becomes soiled within a
short time.
Aerator pump doesn't start up.
Aerator pump is noisy.
Fewer air bubbles in the air tube than
normal
The aerator pump is noisy and there
are still fewer air bubbles even after
replacement of the aerator.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Cleaning and maintenance work:

Preparing the water
Prerequisite:
Fresh water has been treated with "Water Condi-
tioner" 24 h beforehand and has reached room tem-
perature. Required quantity: Approx. one third of the
aquarium volume.
How to proceed:

1. Remove the water to be replaced and clean the
aquarium with the cleaning pad for acrylic glass if
necessary.
Cause
The filter cartridge is exhausted.
Overfeeding
Too many fish
No mains voltage
Aerator pump defective
Aerator pump is vibrating.
Aerator is exhausted.
The aerator pump is only functioning to a
limited extent.
Clean when necessary.
Change the batteries in the
remote control when neces-
sary.
Remedy
Replace the filter cartridge.
Reduce the amount of food.
Reduce the number of fish.
• Check the connection of the aerator pump at
the transformer
• Check the mains voltage.
Replace the aerator pump.
Place the aerator pump onto a softer sur-
face.
Replace the aerator.
Replace the aerator pump immediately.
OASE recommends:
• biOrb cleaner pump (46025)
• Cleaning pads (46026, only use the rough side for
particularly stubborn deposits).
2. Top up the aquarium with the treated water.
Replacing the filter cartridge
N O T E
• Switch off the aerator pump before commencing
with this maintenance work.
• Switch on the aerator pump again after completing
the work.
How to proceed:
• Remove the packaging from the filter medium.

1. Release the air column from the filter housing by a
quarter turn counterclockwise (bayonet closure)
and lift out.
2. Release the air column from the filter cartridge by a
quarter turn clockwise and lift out.
3. Place the air column onto the new filter cartridge
and fasten by a quarter turn counterclockwise.
4. Insert the air column into the aquarium and fasten
by a quarter turn clockwise.
Replacing the aerator
Prerequisite:
• The aerator pump is switched off and the air hose
has been removed from the aerator pump.
• The aquarium has been completely emptied of wa-
ter.
