4 Charging the refrigerant cycle
4.1.

Operating conditions and accessories

The following operating conditions must be maintained for charging:
Temperature in the vehicle: min 22°C
Outside temperature: min 22°C
Compressor RPM: 1500 1/min
Digital manifold
To measure subcooling, ideally, a digital manifold is used which has an
external temperature sensor (for example, manufactured by Testo or
Refco).

Regardless of the charging station or the charging manometer, which is
connected to the compressor and intended for charging the equipment,
the digital manifold is connected to the equipment itself to check subcoo-
ling.

Connecting the digital manifold:
1. High-pressure connection on the Schrader valve in the liquid pipe
before the drier.
2. Place the temperature sensor on the same pipe between stopcock
and pressure switch. Make sure that the temperature sensor has
good heat transmission.
