Purpose of evacuation and charging

As soon as so-called non-condensable gases are formed within the ref-
rigerant cycle the inner surface of the liquefier gets downsized due to an
air "bubble" consisting of non-condensable gases. The result is:
– The heat transmission efficiency drops.
– Often "bubbles" are seen inside the sight glass after the liquefier.
– By measuring pressure and temperature relatively high subcooling
becomes evident although "bubbles" can be seen in the sigh glass.
Almost always, non-condensable gases remain suspended as air
bubbles in the top portion of the liquefier and significantly affect its
efficiency. This leads to rapid increase in the high pressure.
In the past the part of non-condensable gases in the evaporation phase
of the refrigerant was limited to >1 volume %. In this regard, we should
not overlook the fact that the refrigerant may already contain non-
condensable gases at the time of delivery. The second part of non-
condensable gases results from the vacuum achieved.
NOTE:
The use of contrast medium in the refrigerant circuit is not permitted and
leads to loss of warranty.
