Connection through USB port

The USB port should be used as a communication port for service purposes only
(for example: firmware update performed by Agilent service personnel). Do not use
the USB port for any other purpose like to control the electronic unit under the
normal operating conditions.
To implement a connection through the USB port, follow the sequence shown here below:

Connect the Micro USB "B" cable to the TwisTorr 305-IC.

The USB port implements a Virtual COM that is recognized by the host PC.

To control the unit during normal operating conditions, always use
communication via serial cable (RS232 or RS485 according to the system
configuration).
Do not use the USB port for writing simultaneously with the main serial (DB15).
WARNING
Always operate on the USB port with the 24Vdc power supply switched on.
At the end of the service operation, switch-off the 24Vdc supply and
disconnect the USB cable from the controller. Never try to operate the
electronics via the USB port with the 24Vdc power supply switched off.
